Call for Presentations

Share your successful communication strategies, research and campaigns during the 2012 PRSA Southeast District Conference. The Programming Committee was seeking communication professionals, educators and experts in related fields to present during the upcoming conference.

If you, a member of your team or one of your clients would be a great addition to our lineup of speakers, we wanted to hear from you.

THE CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS IS NOW CLOSED.

We were looking for experts from across a variety of disciplines–including social media, media relations, measurement, integrated communications, etc.–who can share their knowledge and experiences in a session that supports the conference theme.
Conference Theme: Creating Authentic Relationships in the Age of Me

With the proliferation of personalized communication channels and devices, the expansive role of effective public relations has never been more important. Programming for the 2012 conference will emphasize the critical function of public relations as relationship management while acknowledging the prevalent outcome of today’s instantaneous and pervasive media. While the conference will not focus solely on social media, we would be remiss to ignore the impact of these dynamic communication channels that enable organizations to connect and communicate with their publics like never before.

Submission Deadline: Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012

Submission Reviews and Notifications: The Programming Committee began reviewing proposals in April. Applicants are currently being notified of their proposal’s status. The goal is to complete all conference programming by July 1, 2012.

Questions or other programming inquiries should be directed to Kevin Trowbridge, chair of the programming committee, at kevin.trowbridge@belmont.edu.
